I have been filing again and was looking at my Camp info. I don't
have everything on my computer on the Camp's. Since my husband's
family is coming over, I started looking at my info. Somthing looked
familiar.
Here is William Andrew Camp's father's obituary.
He died April 28, 1960. Its printed on the copy of the obiturary.
W. F Camp, 81, Retired Farmer
W. F. Camp, 81 retired farmer, died early this morning at his 2611
West Pullen home from a three-week illness.
A son of the late W. E. and Emeline Rodgers Camp, he was born June
12, 1878, in South Carolina.
Mr. Camp came to Arkansas at the age of 17 an lived in Cleveland
County for a number of years. He later made his home in Sherrill
where he was engaged in farming prior to coming to Pine Bluff 10
years agao He was a member of the Walnut Ridge Baptist Chruch in
Grant County. Mr Camp was married Nov. 6, 1898, to the former Lillian
Wilson of Cleveland County, who survives him.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by five sons, Willie Camp of
Altheirmer, J. E. CAmp of Lake Village and W. E. (Buddy) Camp, Homer
Camp and Coy Camp of Pine Bluff; four daughters, Mrs. Hazel McNeill
of Little Rock , Mrs. Pearl Breech of Faith, Mrs. Estell Hyde and
Mrs. Helen Shor of Pine Bluff; one sister, Mrs. Essie Owen of Pine
Bluff; one brother, the Rev. M. D. Camp of Carlisle; 38 grandchildren
and 34 great-grandchilddren.
Funeral services will beh eld tomorrow at 2 p.m. at Ralph Robinson
and Son Morturary by the Rev. Levi V. Reynolds, pastor of Fifth
Avenue Baptist Chruch, and the Rev. Roy Simpson, pastor of First
Southern Baptist Chruch in Sheridan.
Burial will be in Brown Cemetery in Faith.
