By chance, would you know anything about the following CAMP families?
William T. CAMP (b. abt. 1821; d. bef. 1860), mar. Nicey Ann HANSON (b. Abt.
1825 in GA). Their children were Reuben G., Nancy J., Susan C., Ether,
Thomas J. and Sarah T.
Rebecca (?) CAMP (don't know which CAMP she married), but she is listed as
having the following in her household in the 1860 Walker Co., GA census:
John SLATEN (b. Abt. 1843)
Thomas J. CAMP (b.Abt. 1852)
George E. LANFORD/LANGFORD (b. Abt. 1855)
James R. CAMP (b. Abt. 1857)
John W. LANFORD (b. Abt. 1861)
Betsy A. LANFORD (b. Abt. 1867)
Rebecca LANFORD (b. Abt. 1869)
At the time, I believe she had married John W. LANFORD (b. Abt. 1835 in GA),
but I don't know who the John SLATEN is. I can only assume that her CAMP
husband must have died -- maybe in the war. I suspect they had come from E.
Tennessee and were in the GA area (Walker and Coweta Counties) later.
Thank you,
Pam
