Marjorie,
My study of these Camp brothers -- Clark, Isaac, Luke, Myron, & Dennison
-- has not been a particularly in-depth study as they were cousins to the
line I've been researching. However, between the snippets of info you're
getting from elsewhere along with what I've got, I think we could begin
to make a case for these brothers all being your John Camp's brothers.
The given names of John, Isaac & Clark are common in my Camp research;
Luke, Wesley & Dennison are not names that I've come across otherwise.
Although I didn't run across Isaac Camp in looking at IL census, I did
find a military records database that indicates a Clark Camp & an Isaac
W. Camp enlisted 14 Aug 1861 in IL & served in Co. B 12th IL Infantry; my
Alfred Camp letters say cousins Clark & Isaac were in the 12th IL regt. I
found Myron Camp in Co. H 22nd IL Infantry & an enlistment date of 25
June 1861; Alfred Camp letters say cousin Myron was in the 22nd IL regt.
On the other hand, I found 3 different Wesley Camps - PA, IA, IN -- so
there's nothing certain there.
Possible/probable years of birth for these brothers could be: Clark-1832,
Myron-1833, Luke-1835, John-1835, Dennison-1838; I don't know where
Wesley & Isaac fit in & we're still missing 1 brother & the sister.
Did you say that John Camp was in Tama Co. IA at some point? In 1870
census records for Tama Co. IA I've found the following names: Dennison
Camp & Myron Camp in Richland Township; Clark Camp, Jr. in Columbia
Township; & Wesley Camp in Salt Creek Township.
As far as Dennison, Myron, & Clark being sent from PA to IL by 1850
because they were 'grown up', that could make sense for Clark & Myron,
but Dennison was only 12. Since Isaac joined the 12th IL infantry, he was
probably somewhere in IL during that time as well.

Dear Judy,
Thank you for posting this information. It does seen a bit of a
coincidence
that you have mention of some of the same boys names.
I have found on the 1850 census, the 3 boys you mention. It would
appear that
possibly their mother had died, or else maybe they just had left
their home,
because they were "grown up"
Miron (I think Myron) was age 17 living with E.W. Stacks
Dennison was age 12 living with Jacob Riddlebarger
Clark was 18 living with Amos Hussy
Perhaps they were working for these men.
I would wonder if they are related in some way to them?
Thank you to all on the list who read my post.
If there is anything that anyone could add, please do.
Regards,
Marjorie
