Looking for parents of Stephen Camp, born ~1773 in Connecticut. Married
Hepizbah (Heppy) Webster, the daughter of Samuel Webster and Huldah
Skinner, on 24 Oct 1802 in Hartford, Hartford County, Connecticut
according to the Hartford Second Church records. All of his children
were born in Hartford, Hartford County, Connecticut: William (1805),
James (1806), William (1808), Mary (1810), Charles (1813), Bede (1816),
Ellen (1820) and Eliza A. (1822). Stephen Camp died Oct 11, 1832 in
Hartford, Hartford County, Connecticut.
One possible father from the 1790 census is James Camp, who had 1 male
over 16 in his household, one male under 16, and one female. (Hartford,
Hartford, CT). The James Camp listed in the 1800 census appears to be a
different James Camp, because this James Camp has one young male child in
1800 and 3 young female children. James Camp is 26-45 years old.
Another possibility is Talcott Camp, who in 1790 in Glastonbury, Hartford
Co., CT, had 1 male over 16, 4 males under 16, and 3 females. He is not
listed in the 1800 census.
