Need help with this soldier. I read that the above information indicates
Tom Camp's service was in the Texas State Troops or something like the
"homeguard". I have tried the NARA, Texas State Archives and many lists and
I am unable to learn the fate of this man. I had thought he might have been
KIA but if the above information is correct, then he might not have ever
left the county of Grimes. He could, however, have joined another outfit .
Since some of the men in Grimes county were with the 20th Texas Infantry,
could Tom have been the Thomas Camp of Co. H, 20th Texas on the CAmp Family
Association Website which lists all the Camp soldiers, both Union and Con-
federate? Does anyone know if there is a roster for the 20th Texas
Infantry? Shall appreciate any suggestions. Mary Coleman Stewart
