I just received an e-mail from a Marti Frye <frye @ i america.net> with the
following message:. (note I have inserted three spaces so that it would not be sent as an
e-mail address)
"Hi! How are you?
I send you this file in order to have your advice
See you later. Thanks"
Inside is a 1900 Iroquois County, IL. census excerpt in Excel format with all the
information except the names of the people on the sheet. This file contained the W32/SIR
CAM @ MM . (note I have inserted three spaces so that it would not be sent as an e-mail
address).
This message has all the earmarks of a deliberate virus delivery to me.
I thought twice about opening this e-mail, but was comfortable with McAfee that it would
do it's job
I don't usually open suspicious messages, but there has been so many with virus
attachments lately that I wanted to warn others.
McAfee ver. 5.21 caught the virus and I was able to delete it from my system.
DON"T OPEN ANYTHING FROM MARTY FRYE!
