Were the ancient Camps from what is now Great Britain, and the ancient
Kemps
from some other place --- more Germanic? Or were the later Camps,
say,
Normans, and the Kemps, Saxon or vice versa?
Several words exist in both the "C"
and "K" form, such as "Celts" and "Kelts" -- who knows why?
Was the difference merely language, or were they from basically different
families?
