Subject: [CAMP] William Camp 1832-1864(?)
Date: Sun, 23 Dec 2007 18:01:52 +0000
Hi-
I'm trying to find out if anyone knows anything about William Camp, a hatter,
who was born in New York, he died in the Civil War, about 1864. He had married
Amelia Fletcher, and the had three children, William, who died in infancy(I
believe), James and Emma.
I found a William Camp in Newark, New Jersey on the 1850 census, and I believe
his parents were a Noah Camp, born in New Jersey, and Emma, born in Connecticut.
William was listed as 19 and employed as a hatter.
I'm trying to figure out when Amelia died, according to a family history, she
died at 100, born about 1836, and she is on the 1930 census in her 90s, living
with her daughter's family in Pennsylvania.
Thank you for any help
Kate
