MARIAN J. FARRELL CAMP

Marian J. Farrell Camp, 94, died peacefully June 6, 2006, at Hillside Terrace Retirement
Center in Ann Arbor. She was born July 31, 1911, in Dexter Township the daughter of Emmett
and Clara (Marsh) Farrell.
On April 10, 1937, she married George Samuel Camp at. St. Joseph Catholic Church in
Dexter, and he preceded her in death Aug. 14, 2000.
Mrs. Camp graduated from Dexter High School in 1930 and Cleary Business College in 1932.
She was a bookkeeper for many years with Mack and Company, and then the city of Ann Arbor.
She was a member of St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church and the Altar Society.
Her hobbies included watching Michigan football, gardening, traveling, needlework and
making German Christmas cookies.
Mrs. Camp is survived by two daughters, Doris E. (Alvin) Lipnik and Kathleen A. (Richard)
Taylor of Ann Arbor; five grandchildren, John E. (Adri) Boudeman of Naperville, Ill.,
Jeanne (fiance, Charles Hecht) Cardona of Chapel Hill, N.C., Susan M. Boudeman, Christine
A. (Ronald) Schulz, and Laurel T. (Chad) Spencer, all of Ann Arbor; one step-grandchild,
David A. Lipnik; and two great-grandchildren, Rachel E. Boudeman and Ian R. Schulz.
She is also survived by one sister, Margaret Bauer; two sisters-in-law, Catherine Camp and
Margaret Hayman; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by one sister, Florence
Camp; and four brothers, Francis, Robert, Martin and Louis (Bud) Farrell.
Memorial contributions may be made to Hillside Terrace Retirement Center in Ann Arbor.
Mass of Catholic Burial was held Saturday at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Dexter. The
Rev. Brendan Walsh officiated. Burial was at St. Joseph Cemetery in Dexter.
The family received friends and relatives Friday at the Hosmer-Muehlig Funeral Home in
Dexter.
