Bill, it was such a pleasure to look at your website and read the exerpts from the Filson
Quarterly.? Even though it doesn't seem to be my husband's Camp Family from
Virginia, it was interesting to read about the life of this Icabod Camp.? I am the
descendant of Randolph White who fought with George Rogers Clark in what is now Illinois.
Thank you so much.
Judith K. Arthur

I am the descendant of Ichabod Camp through Samuel --> Claudsley
(Claudius) -->Alfred Banks Camp Sr., --> Alfred Banks Camp, Jr. and
my Grandmother was his daughter Harriet. I have posted and you are
welcome to download the The Filson Quarterly and their coverage of
Ichabod's travels to the western reaches of our country (at that
time). I do not agree with all the reporting and highly recommend
your reading the book, Camp, Smith, Jones and Related Families by
Nell Jones Carter. The book is out of print but you might be able to
find on in a library somewhere or for sale online. I believe her
book is the best researched Camp publication covering from Nazeing to
Jewell, GA that is available. You can download the Filson by Otto
Lohrenz,The Filson History Quarterly, Vol. 65, No. 3, July 1991 by
