to post this just in case you or someone else researching this area have

I'm descended from Delilah P. Camp, who married James Franklin Nelson in
Walton County, Georgia, in 1827. They later moved to Campbell County,
Georgia, just across the river from what is now Douglas County, and in
the 1850s from there to Claiborne Parish, Louisiana. Thanks to all you
Camp researchers, Delilah's family is pretty well documented but we are
still searching for information on James and his family. Of his early
life we only know that he said he was born in Virginia in 1805.
