In the 1880 Monroe Co. MS census, there is a William M. age 21, Nancy A.
(wife) age 22, and William S, 3 months. This family ( House # 212, famly #
192) is list next to V. O. and Elizabeth. The age is right on William M, so
my guess is that he is your William Hasten.
In the 1870 Monroe Co , MS census family # 281, Valentine is listed with
Elizabeth, William, John, Mary, Elizabeth (this is Mariah E), Amanda, and
the last name was hard to read, but could be Isabella. All I could read was
the Bella part.
I also have a land record where Valentine bought land in MS .
Well, have to get the children up for school. Stay in touch.

Subject: [CAMP-L] Valentine Camp
Freda,
I talked to my husband's cousin who is working with us. She found out
over the weekend that this is the Valentine Camp. The Thomas we thought to
be his father is probably his GGrandfather. There is possibly a John Camp
who is Daniel's father. Do you have any info on him?
Do you have Daniel's wife? There are cousins who differ on who she
was.
One says a Mary Taylor and one says a Mary Crenshaw. This could even
be
the
same woman who may have been married before.
These are the children that we have for Valentine and Elizabeth:
James Starling dob. ??
William Hasten dob. 1859
John Swilley dob. 1861
Mary S (not L) dob. 1864
Mariah dob. 1866
Isabella dob. 1870 dod. 1870
You added:
Amanda dob. 1868
Jones T. dob. 1872
These would fit into this family. Do you have any of the spouses of these
children.
Thank you soooo much for your help.
Joanne
