Hi Patricia - Do you know if your CAMP family is from the
VA CAMPS? I am a
direct descendant of the immigrant, and have quite a bit on the CAMP line
that went to KY after the Rev. War. I have just recently found the
connection on the POLLARD line from Culpeper Co, VA that married into my CAMP
line, also. That has been a mystery for a long time, and I found the first
clue in the K & Q VA colonist abstracts (which were all put together from
personal documents of many families after the K & Q Co records were burned in
the 1800's).
My husband is a CANANT (Laurens Co, SC to AL) and his gr-gr grandfather,
Chesley CANANT was married in Marshall Co, AL, and we live in Lakeland FL.
There was a Burrell CANANT and I think there was a Barzilla CANANT. Small
world isn't it?
