PUBLIC NOTICE
Cornerstone Development Partners, LLC is filing an application for a
cemetery relocation permit with the Douglas County Board of Commissioners. The
permit is for the relocation of a small unnamed cemetery located at 4283 Chapel
Hill Road in Land Lot 73, 1st District, 5th Section of Douglas County, Georgia
and is on a tract of land owned by Shepherd of the Hills United Methodist
Church (Deed Book 1077, Page 276, Clerk of Superior Court, Douglas County,
Georgia). There is reason to believe that members of the Olds, Bomar, Rice, CAMP,
Whitaker, and/or Thomason families, and possibly others, may have lived on
the property containing the cemetery during the 19th century when the cemetery
was active. It is possible that members of these families, and possibly
others, are descendants of five individuals buried in the subject cemetery. If you
believe you are a descendant of individuals buried in the subject cemetery
or know someone who may be, please contact Mr. Neil Bowen at: 770-345-0706; or
by mail at: R.S. Webb & Associates, P.O. Drawer 1319, Holly Springs, Ga.,
30142
