Has anyone followed George Camp of Halifax Co [died ca 1802]back to the Camp
line that was in New Kent Co.? I am certain there was a connection to the
Madison family. The reason being the will of Roger Madison probated in 1802
in Halifax Co. called this George Camp his nephew and appointed his executor
along with his only son Ambrose. Extensive research on Roger and his wife
indicate the connection was on the Madison side of the family. Roger was born
in1710-1715 time period. Roger named his only son Ambrose, the given name
associated with this Madison family. This was the given name of the
grandfather of President James Madison. George Camp also used the given name
Isabella for his daughter. Isabella was the name of Ambrose' mother. My
thought is that John and Isabella Madison had a daughter who married a Camp.
Thomas Camp was a neighbor. See below.
