The picture site is at
http://www.geocities.com/camp_family_album/CampphotoAlbum.html?949816893930
I have forgotten the password to the
geocities.com site since it was given
to me a few years ago and now I can't find it.
You need to get a free web site, you can apply to
rootsweb.com to get a free
one or there are many, many sites that will give you one. You can set up
the Picture page anyway you want to as I want you to use your own
creativity, no restrictions except the pictures we use - the person must be
born before 1930 (over 75 years of age or more due to the Privacy Act). You
can go alphabetically, family lines, etc - it will be your page, you do
exactly what you would like.
You can go in to the old picture site, use your "save picture as" on your
right click of the mouse and save the picture to your computer. I have
already saved all the pictures on there to my computer so we won't lose them
to cyperspace. Once you have your page up and running, just send me the link
for the Camp web site page. You can then post a note to the Camp mail list
that you are up and running and ready to accept pictures. I have some
pictures that I will then send you.. Be sure your address is on the web
site so people can send you pictures as they may not have a scanner.
If you have any questions, please feel free to ask me. I am not much on
technical things but I will try to answer.

| Barbara,
| I could step in for the Camp Picture web site. I do know a little about
web sites and could both help with the task at hand and benefit myself from
additional experience. I am familiar with scanning. I use FTP in my everyday
assignments at work and would hold myself to be more versatile and efficient
in its use than most. I have done a little HTML, can function in that
environment, and would appreciate the opportunity to gain more experience
with it while also serving such a noble cause.
|
| I am a "Software Engineer 3" with the second largest computer corporation
in the world and have served this company now for almost 17 years. I am
certain that I am up for the task.
|
| If you would care to give me a shot at it, and you are still looking for
this volunteer, just let me know.
|
| James Camp.

|
| Here I go again, asking for volunteers!!
|
| I need someone to control the Camp Picture web site. I have been
unsuccessful in getting in contact with Larry Camp who used to run it. So I
am asking for someone who knows a little about web sites, scanning, html, &
ftp. If you are the lucky person who can do this, please contact me asap.
|
| I also need a typist who has a genealogy program, familiarity with
gedcoms, email and patience of a saint!. If you have those skills and the
time, you are the winner!! Please contact me asap.
|
| I also need a person who can extract Camp census information and is
familiar with extractions, has access to a genealogy library, familiarity
with microfische, email, good eyes and doesn't mind boredom, aching
shoulders from hunching over microfische readers, and stiff back when you
get out of the chair!!!!! Please contact me asap.
|
| I also need a person to monitor a Camp site every day and is willing to
help Camp family reseachers in their quest. This will involve email,
internet access, and a strong willingness to help others. This job needs a
commitment of daily time.
|
| I need another person that can commit to a short daily allotment of time
to receive specific email. This takes probably 5-10 minutes a day, every day
of the year. But you must be able to commit to this very important daily
task. If you cannot commit your time, please do not volunteer, it is that
important!
|
| Detailed instructions for these tasks will be given when you volunteer.
|
| That is all I need at the moment - whew! -, I do ask for a lot, don't I.
The tasks I need done will help the future Camp family researchers with the
information on all the various Camp families already done and available for
them. If this is your "cup of tea", please help.
