Subject: [CAMP-L] Ruth Pickett CAMP Marsh
I am searching for names of parents, siblings and garandparents of
Ruth
Pickett Camp b. Durham, CT May 25, 1828. m. Benjamin Marsh 1849 probably at
Trinity ME Church, Albany NY. Their children Anna M. William C., Julia T.,
Benjamin C., and Grace R. Benjamin Marsh Sr. was a prominent silversmith
and clockmaker in Albany NY in the later half the 1800's. All of the
Benjamin Marsh family are buried together in the family plot in Albany
Rural Cemetery, Menands NY. I am certain of the name of one sibling of
Ruth, he being David Otis Camp b. about 1831 probably in Durham d. June 2,
1897 at New Haven CT, m. Eliza Alling, date and place unknown, David O.
buried. Evergreen Cemetery #2 New Haven. Two other possible (not confirmed)
siblings of Ruth P and David O. are Mary D. and Sarah B. Uncertain of birth
dates and locations of theses latter two nor of any other siblings.
Benjamin and Ruth were my gggrandparents. I am attempting to piece
together the Camp line but have been unsuccessful. I have seen a copy of
Durham Town Records but there are dozens of Camps mentioned and none seem
to match the little bit I know. I am also interested in the origin of
Pickett in her name.
