Tim Camp
Is your ancestor Major Raleigh S Camp? My ancestor Major Thomas B Camp,
son
of Little Berry Camp, was in Granbury's 7th Brigade of Tx. LB
migrated
to Tx
when Thos was young. TB Camp ended up married to Laura Kolb a
Kennesaw
Mt Ga
girl while taking leave in Marietta due to being wounded. They lived
out
life in Waverley Hall Ga. They are buied at the cemetery there.
I sent for his Civil War papers. At the end of the war he was made Major
and
transferred into Major RS Camp's Ga unit.
Little Berry ran a ferry, Camp's Ferry in an east Tx county. It was
instumental in opening the trail to west Tx.
