Hello, Judith and All,
I believe that your Reuben CAMP's son John was born about 1750 because he signed a
petition for a road in Guilford VT with his father. I don't have my book about the
History of Guilford VT at hand at the moment. Also, in checking the Readsboro VT land
records, I believe he disappeared from the land records in the late 1830's, and then
the rest of his family moved to Catt. Co. NY in or near Leon, NY and on to Triumbull Co.
OH.. There is a marriage in Plymouth, VT 1800 that I believe belongs to youe John.
The data you give (John CAMP 1754-1841 m. ? later to Eunice Bennett) is stated in Rev. War
Pension #1616 for John CAMP who lived in Elliottville, Catt. Co. NY His pension
application named a wife Eunice. After the Rev. War he stated that he named six different
towns (including Bennington VT) he lived in before settling in Perrysburg, NY.
Hope this helps.
Ruth Armstrong
