I received a letter today from the warden of All Saints Church in
Nazeing, England regarding the book _ Five Miles From Everywhere_.
The book has been mailed and is on its way to me here in Georgia.
I'll let ya'll know as soon as it arrives and what goodies about
the Camp family are in it. In the meantime, if you'd like to inquire
about ordering it for yourself, it may be purchased through:
The Book Centre
24-26 Fawkon Walk, Hoddesdon,
Hertfordshire EN11 8TJ
Fax (01992) 470369 Tel: (01992) 467497
The church members are currently raising funds to purchase a permanent
display cabinet for the church's Pilgrim Room. A member of this list
has proposed researching the possibility of a non-profit association
to handle donations from the U.S. Camps to benefit the church. It
is very difficult for them to accept checks in US funds and convert
it to British Sterling without incurring personal loss. The Warden
of the church requests that anyone wishing to make a donation to the
church either send pounds sterling or a certified check in British
Sterling made payable to NAZEING PAROCHIAL CHURCH COUNCIL. Please
email me privately for an address. I do not want to broadcast the
kind warden of the church's address over the internet.
Several have requested directions to the church and Frien Barnett
(location of the almshouse). I'll post the directions Cragg Hines
forwarded to me. He is quite knowledgeable of London and environs
and gave me wonderful information and directions.
I'll let you know as soon as I receive the book!
