Gaile,
Sorry, I should have copied and pasted, but I see someone was nice enough to
provide you with the correct URL. Also, I found GenCircles,

Susan,
Does the coat-of-arms have a motto on it and if so what is it? I am trying
to make matches in the Camp line to the Kemp line. Or who the they might
even be related , who knows. However, if only one family, which would be the
obvious thought, had the crest and the motto has not changed that makes it
more difficult. Sometimes the same crest is passed along and the motto
changes from family to family. Thus, I must do some research. I can only
guess that William the Conqueror permitted this; however, I have come across
some other information that my discredit this guess.

I checked some of the census records and found a few Job Camps
1790 Ct. one in Durham and one in Litchfield
1800 and 1810 Pa. one in Wyalusing
1820 Vermont one in Albany
1860 1870 N Y Two in Queensbury
1870 Ohio one in Clay Twp
thought I would find more
John Camp died in 1767 and his wife Phoebe Canfield died 1774 had ten
children and Job 1728 / 1791 was the youngest. John's tombstone indicates that
when he died 1767 he left 98 grandchildren.I am sure there where a few more Jobs
The 1790 Durham census Job Camp family consisted of 8 males over 16 and 4
females.
Hi,
I am also a decendent of the Camp family line. My family is connected to Job
Camp whom founded Camptown, Bradford County, PA. Whom was born 11-16-1747
and died 1-17-1822.
I did check my files and found nothing on your Job Camp. I will try to check
into a few places to try to help you out. I do have a copy of the Coat of
Arms that was sent to me by another great reasercher James Ottmer if you
would like it.
Do you have any other type of information on your Job Camp that might help
with researching him?

WOW James,
Great work! I am descended from the Southern Camp line, but I would like to
add
a bit of verification to James' work. I have twice visited the All Saints
Church in
Naezing in Essex, England. The Curtis Family has given the Church a
tasteful sign
that states that the Curtis Family left the area on the Lyon (I think it may
have been
spelled "Lion" for the New World and that they were Puritans. The events
and
unrest in England at that period of time would lead credibility to that. I
was told
that in the last days of the reign of Elizabeth I that she required everyone
in each
household to wear a woolen cap and then taxed them for their own wool. She
also
decreed that each Church have a posting of the Ten Commandments. The one in
All Saints is there from her decree. I have photographs of the Baptismal
Font
that has been at All Saints since the 1500s as well as the pediment it
rests on
(from the time of the Normans in 1100). The latest toombstone from All
Saints
that is readable is from the late 1700s. I was told that the area
immediately around
the Church is where all of the early burials were and that people were just
buried one
on top of the other throughout time. The earth around the church is a
couple of feet
higher than the foundation. I felt a real connection at that Church and
wonder if there
is any thing resembling genetic encoding in humans as with salmon and birds
<VBG>
My daughter and I felt very at home there and marveled how much the rolling
hills
reminded us of our hills here in North Georgia.
If you ever have the opportunity to visit Naezing, I'd be happy to help in
any way I
can.
