Happy Easter weekend!
I went to the Camp page and I ran into a problem I tried to access the links marked "Searchable GEDCOM for NICHOLAS CAMP etc." or "Mary Camp and John Baldwin". I get error messages. Any ideas on what else I can do to get these pages? I am a descendent of Mary Camp and John Baldwin. I'd really like to see these pages.
Any ideas?
Thank you.

Looking for any information on James Albert Camp (Jim), b. 5-15-1870 d.
2-7-1947. He married Alma Irene Sessums on 5-5-1904 in Caddo Parish, La.
They had 6 or 7 children. I think there is also at least one step-daughter
too. Hattie Lane Camp was born on 6-9-1901 and died on 10-3-1987. She always
said that Alma was her mother and James her father, but as you can see they
didn't get married untill Hattie was nearly 3 years old. Seems like one of
them is a step-parent. Which one? Hattie was also part Indian. James and
Alma are buried in the Hosston Town Cemetery in Hosston, Caddo Parish, La.
Any help would greatly be appreciated. Thanks.

My gr grandmother, Catherine Ellen Camp Greer 1837-1929, said that it came
from a battle in which a man from each group was chosen to represent the
group. The one that was the winner then chose his surname as Camp because
of where they were camped. Who knows?

Hi Camps,
After some extensive research, I've formed some ideas about the origins of
this surname CAMP.
I'd like to hear from some other folks about what they have found about the
origins.

Hello Fellow Camps,
I am researching the CAMP family of Oswego Co., New York.
I've found an ASA CAMP born in 1759, but I don't know where??
ASA CAMP appears in the 1840 census, living in the household of another ASA
CAMP. I presume that ASA, JR. was a son of ASA, SR.
ASA CAMP, SR. was a Revolutionary War vet.
I believe that Oswego Co. was formed from Oneida Co.
I see on the CAMP family web page, there is ongoing research of
#39674 Abraham Camp was born 31 July 1769 in Whitestown, Oneida County, New
York. He died 30 June 1845 in Springfield, Sangamon County, Illinois. His
wife's name is unknown but their children were: Alvah P. Camp who died 17
Feb 1829 in Savannah, Chatham County, Georgia.
It looks like some of the Georgia CAMPS were connected to the CAMPS of upstate
New York??
I would like to make contact with the person researching the Abraham CAMP
family.
The Asa CAMP SR. of Oswego Co. above, could be connected to Abraham of Oneida
Co.
Thanks for a reply,
Ann
Here are the records, both state and federal that are on the net for Alabama
Lawson CAMP and S. S. McKAY. Of course, the SSDI is recognizable with the
SS #s.
The TX Death Records 1964 - 1998 are also on Rootsweb and give only the
death date and a county. I'm not sure what the county always represents.
It's good for determining the middle name if someone falls in those years
and lived in TX.
The TX Birth Records 1926 - 1949 give both parents.
Since Lafayette McKAY died in 2001, his obit might be found fairly easy.

Barbara,
What a gem you are! I would love to have Malvina's siblings, and very much appreciate you sending me her death date and location. Now I have a chance of actually making it past this "dead end" in my family tree. Thank you!
Mary

Hi,
I have just joined the Camp list, and am wondering if anyone can help me find information on Malvina Camp, who was born on December 10, 1821 in New York. I know that she married a George Sweet on July 25, 1841 in Cold Spring, NY, but don't know much else about her. I would love to know who her parents were, and also when and where she died. Any help you could provide would be appreciated.

I'm looking for Jennie Camp. She had a son, Harry Eugene Dalrymple in
Silver Creek, NY in 1900. The father was Archie Dalrymple. Jennie also had
two daughter but I don't believe Archie Dalrymple was their father. One of
the daughters names may have been Hazel.
My Kelley Genealogy Home Page has a bit more in about Jennie Camp.
http://www.tsil.net/~mkelley/index.htm
Click on the DALRYMPLE surname and it will take you to that family history
with JENNIE CAMP. Let me know what you think.
Thanks
Mike
