Beginning March 2nd, 2020 the Mailing Lists functionality on RootsWeb will be discontinued. Users will no longer be able to send outgoing emails or accept incoming emails. Additionally, administration tools will no longer be available to list administrators and mailing lists will be put into an archival state.
Administrators may save the emails in their list prior to March 2nd. After that, mailing list archives will remain available and searchable on RootsWeb
Thanks Linda, for the information...as disappointing as it was. I am well
aware of the need for corrections in the book. I was hoping these dear
cousins had gotten enough information back from those who recognized the
errors and had somehow corrected them.
By the way, I am not in the book but as you probably could tell, my mother,
Lagosta LOUISE Beauchamp and her family are.

Linda, I saw your notice about a Camp book on the web. I'm interested in
knowing more about your Camp connection. You mentioned a cousin, Cecil Camp
from Bosie, Idaho. Is he related to the Fay Camp family? and about how old
is he?
I have never found a connection to my family, past my great grandfather,
John Albert Camp. If there's a connection please let me know.

Melody,
The two Paul Camps died several years ago. I knew Paul W. Camp--met him at a
couple of Camp Family Reunions years ago but after the book came out. He was
sad about the lack of proofreading and resulting errors in the book. My cousin
in Boise, Idaho, Cecil Camp, supplied much of the information on the Joseph W.
Camp (1804-1859) Number 8, page 48, branch of the family.
A reprinting of the book would be a huge undertaking for anyone. Many errors
would need to be corrected to make it worthwhile.
Linda Camp Fredrickson in Utah P.S. I am on page 104.

Larry,
It looks like several of the lists are slow.
One fellow researcher on my Monroe, Kentucky List suggested each of us post
his or her Monroe County brick wall. It really got things going again.
So here goes. I would like to suggest to all on the Camp list who have hit
a brick wall, to post it to this list.
I don't necessarily have a brick wall. I would like to know if the book
"Descendants of John Steel Camp" has been edited and reprinted since the
1980 edition. If so, where would I purchase it? Is there anyone on this
list who had a part in submitting the infromation or know the compilers and
editors of the book, the two Paul Camps?
Thank you.

Hi Elizabeth,
My name is Larry Camp (Ellis-Columbus D-Columbus M-Rev Elias A.-James
Camp).
You may have come upon a most important piece of information to me and
my family.
I am attaching an obituary that long has puzzled me about Elias A. Camp
who claimed to be the son of James Camp b 1740 NC.
According to the obituary in the Cedartown Standard (Polk Co. Georgia)
Elias was the oldest surviving son of a James Camp a Revoluntiary war
veteran b 1740. If his Obit is to be believed this could be the James
Camp referred to in the will you posted.
Rev. E. A. Camp, was born in Gwinnett County, GA., August 20th, 1825;
died in Polk County,
GA., April 18th, 1901, aged 75 years, 7 months and 28 days. His
father, James Camp, was born in
North Carolina in the year 1740, served as a volunteer through the
Revolutionary war, after which he
settled in Gwinnett County, GA., and died there in the year 1827,
at the age of 87 years. Rev. E. A.
Camp was probably the only man at the time of his death living in
the state who was the son of a
soldier who served in the war of the revolution. Mr. Camp was
married to Miss. Sarah Garrett, in
Paulding County, Ga., January 2nd, 1848; seven children blessed
their union, three of which are
living~C. M. Camp, R. A. Camp and E. A. Camp, jr. He joined the
Baptist church at New Hope,
Paulding county in 1852; was licensed to preach in 1855, and was
ordained to the ministry at
Bethlehem church in Polk county in 1859, where his membership has
been ever since, he having been
pastor a great deal of the time. He has been a citizen of Polk
County ever since 1858, and has served
nearly all the Baptist churches in Polk, Paulding and Haralson as
pastor. He was Moderator of the
Tallapoosa Association for a number of years, and was considered
one of the wise counselors of that
body. He was an able speaker and a deep thinker. The writer was
often interested to hear his
recapitulate on the past. He was a man of great memory, and was in
possession of a talent to explain
what he knew. It can be truly said that a great man has fallen in
Isreal. A large congregation
assembled at the Baptist cemetery, near Fish, Sunday evening to pay
their last tribute of respect to
this good man. Short services were conducted by Rev. P. Woody,
after which all that was mortal
was consigned to the tomb to await the great morning of the
resurrection. May the giver of all good,
comfort and console his aged and invalid wife, who has been
confined to her bed for a long time.
With these closing lines we say, Farowell, old brother, knowing as
we do, that those of us who are
faithful unto death will meet you in that sweet bye and bye, where
the wicked cease from troubling
and the weary are at rest. (Cedartown Standard, April 18, 1901)
If you can give more information on this line I would greatly appreciate
it.
I am posting the link to my gedcom for your perusal.

Whatever help you can provide will be wonderful.
Sincerely,
