That's wonderful. Camidge Thomas Booker and I think his wife would be Mary,
are the pair who lived at 7 Rock Mount North on the 1881 census.
Thomas would be the son of Henry Francis and his first wife, Mary Anne
Booker. THE Charles was father of Henry Francis.
I gave up on Ellis Island as they, as yet, have sailing lists only for
1898, 1904 and 1908.
I did find,
" The archives staff will search available indexed lists for you (first
request NATF Form 81 from Reference Services Branch (NNIR), National
Archives, 8th and Pennsylvania Ave., NW., Washington, DC 20408)
Charge is about $10 per search.
Marcia, are you there?
If you request just for George Camidge age about 4yrs in 1880; if they
find him then you will know which ship he was on and perhaps then find
access to a search for other passengers.
Good hunting to everyone
Jean

This search was for "Camidge". I think that Camage, Cammidge, etc. will
require separate searches.
Note1: I think that William John Camidge is really John William Cammidge,
son of
John Cammidge & Rose Hannah.
The 5 instances of his name in this list represent five separate
trips as
a crew member of the Orbita.
Note2:
Mary(43), Thomas (30) & Emma (0) arrived 18 aug 1904
Mary (47), Thomas Booker (50), Emma Winfield (4), Esther (16) , Lena
(18)arrived 26
Jan 1908
Mary and Emma came over twice (maybe more, since they are listed as US
citizens on
the first arrival.
Thomas was 30 at that time. Thomas Booker was 50 when he came over 4
years later, so Thomas was probably the son of Thomas Booker and Mary.
Note3: There is much more info at this site, including the complete
passenger
lists and photos of the ships.
For anyone who didn't see the first message, the site is
www.ellisislandrecords.org

appear
to be duplicates) and one of them is Joseph Camidge. There may be
more if
you search for Camage, Cammidge, etc. Because it is so slow, I haven't
been
able to look at the individual records yet, except for these two:
>
> Camidge Emma U. S. Citizen English 18 Aug 1904 9m F Aurania
Liverpool England UK
> Camidge Joseph British English York, England 19 Jun 1910 24y M S Cedric
Liverpool England UK

really need to look at the site. (ie: Aurania and Cedric are ships names
and the dates are dates of arrival, etc
