Hi to all the Camidges.
Its been a while.
I write with a little sad news, an entire generation of
Camidges has passed away in Noittingham, my great uncle
and grandad being the last. PLEASE don't send sympathy
e mails though!
However, it has unearthed a few things I think you may
already know....Yorkshire is a strong base for
Camidges, there is a great deal there (for the town
size) That is where the Nottingham Camidges decend
from). There is also evidence of them in Boston Ma, as
I passed a gravestone this summer "Gamage" (a believed
derivative of ourselves).
I am intersted to ask the American Camidges, where
abouts in the States are you all? I am going to be in
the US for 3-4 months of next year and it would be
interesting if I could meet some of you and your
families.
All the best
Dan Camidge
Hi Dan!
I live in Southern Indiana, although I can't fathom a reason for you to visit
here, I would nevertheless love to meet you!!
I am a direct descendant of Frank G. Camidge Sr., who being still alive,
lives in Florida, which is a more likely place.
My Dad, Frank, was an only child of an only child. However, his Grandfather,
Thomas Camidge, had other children, one of which was Esther Camidge. She was
married to Harry Jones who was with the Salvation Army.
They had a daughter Margaret Daugherty (married name)and I am searching for
her or her relatives. If anyone has any info for them please let me know!!
Thanks!!
