Dear Camerons,
I would love to call a few of you cousins, but I cannot, because I need help!
I have a family of Camerons in Santa Rosa Co., FL in 1850 and 1860. The
father died before 1850. Here is what I have found so far:
Census:
1850 Santa Rosa Co., Fla. 8 Dec 1850; 2nd Div; Geo. D. Fisher, Ass't

" Margaret 17 F W Ala
" Mary 14 F W Ala
" Martha 11 F W Ala
" Archibald 9 M W Ala
" John 6 M W Ala

Archibald 18 M Farmer AL
John 13 M AL
Catharine 12 F AL

Martha A. 22 F GA
John 6/12 M FL
I believe that Mrs. Cameron to be Catherine Wilkinson Cameron. I believe the
father of all these children to be John Cameron. There was a grandchild
named John Cameron McDavid. I have found the families of Archibald,
Margaret, and Mary Cameron. On later census records these children say they
were born in Florida. So I don't know if they were born in Alabama or
Florida. I have lost John, Daniel, Catherine, and Martha Cameron. I also
cannot go back any further (the dreaded brick wall). Please help. Thank you
for your time. Thea Gilliam
