Alec includes his address and research 'titles' with most
emails, but
here it is again just in case...he has been researching Camerons for
about 35 yrs. now. I call him the "Master Slueth", Sherlock Cameron,
and as often as I can get him to 'talk' via email..haha.

Thanks Peg, as you know I try to be generous in helping CAMERON clansfolk. I
am an ex- President of Clan Cameron NSW, and presently I am Newsletter
Editor. At our recent AGM we elected *ladies* to the main offices:
Valerie Smith, President
Eleanore Reichel, Secretary
Valda Wood, Treasurer
Sue Catterall, Vice President
Isn't there a pop song of the 1980s "I am Woman, Hear Me Roar"??
I think Even is also Hugh isn't it, as Ewen is right, Alec?
In different families, there are ALIAS names, surnames and given names get to
be varied, alternated. My uncles Roderick, got to be known as Ian, that is not
a common switch. You'll recognise some of these switches:
Hugh= John or Ewen
Patrick= Peter
Margaret= Peggy
Donald= Daniel
Janet= Jessie
Jane= Jean
It's not only Scottish, you'll know also William= Bill, Henry= Harry, John=
Jack, Robert= Bob, Herbert= Bert or Herb
And so on!!
I am Alistair= Alec, but my great uncle Alexander Cameron was known as Angus
or Angie.
Cheers.........
