Hello! I'm researching Alexander & John Cameron who shared lot 6, concession 4 in
Cornwall Twp, Ontario, Canada, and who served in the Kings Royal Regiment, New York during
the American Revolution. They came to America in 1773, along with many Scottish
highlanders, to become tenant farmers on the estate of Sir William Johnson in New
York's Mohawk Valley. I find references to “The Pearl” being one of the ships that may
have brought them, and I'm trying to locate any possible passenger lists. If, also,
anyone can recommend references regarding the particulars of their inducement and the
journey, I'd appreciate it. Alexander's daughter Janet received a concession of
her own in Nissouri township, and she married my gggrandfather, David Ramage.
