his son Frederick - what do you have on Peter? I have been researching for a
number of years and am brickwalled

I don't know if will help, however, I have information that I have collected
while looking for my Cameron connections.
I show that William Cameron came to Ellis Island, New York in 1927 from
Scotland.
He was followed by Christina Cameron in 1927 or 1928 thru Ellis Island and
on to Boston, Mass. from Scotland.
I also have information of possible relatives as follows:
Peter Cameron b. 1821 Pictou, Nova Scotia m. Ellenor Hayman in 1848.
Christina Cameron b. 1823 in Nova Scotia...
I would be happy to provide more.... up to you :)
I am looking for relatives of John Cameron, born in Iverness Scotland in May
of 1911. He married Mary McClannachan and they had 3 sons (Iver Alan,
Alexander Duncan, Norman Ewen) and immigrated to Quebec, CA in 1957.
Julie Cameron
