Dean,
I know you are looking for Alexander and Flora Cameron in Glengarry
to see if they are part of your CAMERONS. Oh by the way, the
witnesses for Alexander and Flora was Donald McDonald and O'Kaine
Cameron. I was looking at another list and came across the following
message (see below). The town of Luther Michigan is not far at all
from where Allan Cameron (son of Alexander and Flora) migrated to.
Maybe it is possible that this Flora Cameron is a sister to Allan.
Also, I know in that in previous emails about Allan I said that the
family was RC. Well, since then I have discovered that they did not
always practice that. I am still quite confused about the different
Churches and religions during the 1800's. It is evident that his
parents were not wed in the RC Church. I am still trying to find
more info on the Reverend Urhquat (not sure of spelling, my docs are
at home).

Flora's tombstone is pleading for a connection. She is buried in
Cherry Valley Cemetery, Ellsworth Township, Lake County, Michigan
(just outside the village of Luther). This is a lonely place, the
ghosts of the old lumber camps have few roosts to haunt. Flora's
tombstone reads:
FLORA CAMERON
WIFE OF ANGUS McDEARMID
BORN IN GLENGARY CO CANADA 1843
DIED MAY 20 1908
(possible small unreadable verse)
(base reads) McDEARMID
As far as I know, she's not related to the Bridget Ellen Cameron (b. Michigan)
in my line.
