Loretta,
I had just a moment to stop in at the gen. soc. in Rushville, IL. I
checked the 1850 census index and found this:
McDonough Co, IL, p. 264A, 17 Sept 1850
#487 Benedick Cammeron 41 m farmer KY
Sarah 43 f KY
Joseph 17 m KY
Tho's 13 m IL
Helen 11 f IL
James 09 m IL
May E. 07 f IL
John 06 m IL
McDonough Co, IL p. 267, 18 Sept 1850
#528 Phelin Cammeron 52 m farmer KY
Elizabeth 45 f KY
Henry 20 m farmer KY
John 15 m KY
James 12 m IL
Caroline 10 f IL
Patrick 04 m IL
Martin family and Mooning family from KY near the Phelin Cameron's.
No Camerons in 1830-40, and only one in 1860 and he was from VT.
I found a Patrick and Christina from KY in Hancock Co, 1850-60--do they
connect?
Also, an Angus in Brown Co, listed in 1860 index. Couldn't find the
info though. Brown is below Schuyler and touches Adams Co. Hancock co
touches Adams and Schuyler on South and McDonough on North. WArren co.
is north of McDonough.
Can't wait to dig deeper.
