Does Anyone know of any Camerons married into the Royal Stewarts around =
1550 to 1598=20
my Peggy Cameron who is married to my Daniel McKirdy both of Bute both =
born 1598. Down=20
through word of mouth for the past four hundred years that Peggy =
Cameron(Banks of Tweed)=20
was a great grandchild of King James IV.=20
The only Stewart and Cameron that i myself could find was Alan Cameron =
of 1567 married to a=20
(UNKNOWN female) Stewart who was the father of a John Cameron who's son =
is Sir Ewen=20
Cameron(1647).=20
I can only take this to be Alan Cameron XVI of Lochiel. Also it has been =
said that Alan did have =20
some daughters. And this is according to the Cameron's Family Notes and =
Reminiscences at the=20
time the Last onslaught by Royalist against the Presbyterians. =20
Pethrick McCurdy of Carn farm, Antrim Ireland grand child of Daniel and =
Peggy Cameron=20
married Margaret Stewart of Ballintoy Ireland her ancestor been traced =
back to Sir John=20
Stewart Sheriff of Bute ,son of King Robert II. The Stewart connect been =
finally proven through=20
what is called the Hutchison Legacy this line been James Stewart son =
of Sir Ninian Stewart=20
of Killchatan with members of the McCurdy Clan been married to this =
side.But also appears James=20
Stewarts brother Archibald Stewart had also came to Ireland been chase =
out of Bute due to=20
possibly his connect with the Mathew Stewart Earl of Lennox having =
family in Ireland. I beleive his=20
Grandson was Charles Stewart, Margaret's father as there seems to be a =
Church Bell at Ballintoy=20
Church that seems to prove this.=20
Any comment will be appreciated .=20

this is the Mccurdy of the 1666 that went to Ireland=20
