Hi Nell and all,
I found this interesting because of the Neil McAuthur name.
My Alexander CAMERON b 1772 in Cumberland CO NC married Nancy McAuthur and
this could be her father. Neil McAuthur is mentioned in the Highland Scots of
NC. Also my PATTERSONS married into the CAMERON family but I thought they
were from SC.
James is a popular name in the CAMERONS and Alexander had a son named James
also that lived in Madison CO FL.
Keep digging,
Jeanie<3

Hi Jeanie and other Cameron-L@rootsweb readers,
In response to this list of the second Regiment, I am interested in the
James Carmeron listed.
I have a George W. Cameron who is my gr gr gr grandfather. He was born in
1812 to 1816.in TN married first Sarah Jones around 1840. Their son Eli
Cameron around 1843 in Livingston Co, KY. George was found in the 1850
census in Randolph Co., AR with Eli and second wife Susan and another son
Kenry who is my gr grandfather. They were still in Randolph Co in the 1860
and 1870 census then grandfather George has disappeared. We would like to
know where he was buried and if you know names of this James
Carmeron's(could it be spelled wrong?) children or wife ? Our George was
born about the time of the 1812 nc. Militia Indian Wars so the age would be
about right to be George's father.wo would like to know if this James
Carmeron could be George's father.
Thanks,
Nell Miner <A
