Delano Eagle 4/2/1896
Died on Wed. April 1st at 4 p.m., Mr. J. J. Cameron, of Delano. Deceased has
been a resident of our village for upwards of 3 years. He has been a
sufferer a good deal of the time and his last illness was something like
consumption of the bowels. He was about 50 years old and leaves a wife and
three children and a community of friends to mourn him. He was a member of
the Catholic Church and will be buried here tomorrow morning at ten o'clock.
He was always a kind and good man and his affliction of late was borne with
patience. His bereaved family have the condolences of our community.

in Delano, MN.)

Mrs. Cameron Dead
Death visits the home of a former Delano family and takes the mother.
On last Monday, Dec. 6th, 1897 Mrs. Mille Cameron, Relict (sp?) of the late
J. J. Cameron died at her home in Minneapolis of consumption. Deceased has
been a patient sufferer for a long time and died in the full belief of a
future life of joy and rest in that land beyond the mysterious river.
Mrs. Cameron was a sister of Mrs. L.M. Maxfield and Mrs. William Gross of
Delano, and lived in Delano with her family until about two years ago when
her husband died, after which she moved to Minneapolis. Three children,
Addie, Frederick and John aged respectively 22, 20 and 17 years, survive her.
Deceased was a consistant member of the Methodist church and her remains
were brought to Delano yesterday and after services at the church were
conducted by Rev. Farber, assisted by Rev. W. A. Shannon, were interred in
the cemetery south of town.
Deceased was a good wife and mother and will be missed at home where neither
father or mother remain. The community extends sincere sympathy to the
bereaved family.

I have several more obits from the "In Laws" and Lyons. I'll post when I
can.
If anyone out there has access to the Catholic records for old St. Peters in
Delano, I would be forever grateful for a lookup.
Thanks, Dean Cameron
