TARA MARIE CAMERON
Sept. 2, 1984 - May 15, 2001
Tara Marie Cameron, 16, of Carthage (IL), died Tuesday, May 15, 2001, at
her home in Carthage, following a lengthy illness. She was born on
September 2, 1984, in Keokuk (IA), the daughter of Terri Jackson and
Gerald Evans Cameron.
She is survived by her mother and step-father, Terri and Albert Ancelet
of Carthage; one brother, Cole Cameron, at home in Carthage; one
step-sister, Amy Ancelet of Macomb (IL); one step- brother, Jeff Ancelet
of St, Louis Mo.; maternal grandmother and step-grandfather, Joycelyn
Jackson Georges and Dr. Richard Georges of Keokuk; paternal grandmother,
Norma Cameron of Hamilton (IL); step-grandparents, Russell and Marge
Bisby of Carthage; a special friend, Ashley Nagel, of Carthage; many
aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
She was preceded in death by her father, Gerald Cameron; her maternal
grandfather, Albert Jackson; paternal grandfather, Lyle Cameron; and a
step-brother, Scott Ancelet.
Tara was a member of the United Methodist Church of Carthage. She was a
member of the Carthage High School class of 2003. She was a member of
the 1999 Carthage Bluegirls' eighth grade state championship basketball
team. She was a member of the girls' track team and played softball. She
was a member of the Spanish Club. Tara was recently named "Most
Inspirational Student at Carthage High School 2001". She was also
crowned Spring Dance Queen 2001.
Services were held Friday, May 18, at the United Methodist Church of
Carthage with Rev. William Pyatt officiating. Burial was in Moss Ridge
Cemetery in Carthage.
Memorials in memory of Tara Marie Cameron have been established for Make
A Wish Foundation; Carthage High School Memorial Project and Hancock
County Blessing Hospice.
