Greetings all!
Just wanted to share the latest breakthrough I may have had! Although it is
in a different branch of my family than the Cameron's, it helps to illustrate
the principle that eventually you can break through that "Brick Wall"! My
Cameron's were a prolific and mobile bunch. I had hit a wall with my
greatgrandmother, who was always listed as a Debrow. (Who married a
Smith--Thanks, grandma!) Well, someone was searching old postings came
across my postings from at least a year ago, and I believe we have made a
solid connection! The original family name was 'Devereaux' and has been
traced back to a Huegenot emigration from France in the late 1700's. I have
got to read up on this, but I believe it was a religious persecution type
thing. Any insight into the Huegenots would be appreciated (privately).
Keep up the good work, everyone!
