I am trying to help a very dear friend, Ellen Cameron Luke, age 97, trace her ancestors.
It's been quite a challenge, despite the fact that I've been doing genealogy for
nearly 40 years. This is what I have found thus far:
1910 Crisp Co., GA, Cameron
George W, 39, SC, SC, SC
Gardia ()wife), 38, GA, GA, GA
Lela, 17, GA
Mary S/L, 15, GA
Lillie, 12, GA
Nora J, 9, GA
Annie M, 6, GA
ELLEN E., 2, GA
1920 Crisp Co., GA, Campbell
George W., 46, SC, SC, SC
Gardian, 48, GA, GA, GA
Nora Jane, 18, GA
Annie M., 15, GA
George T., 13, GA
ELLEN, 11, GA
1930 Turner Co., GA, Cameron
George W., 56, SC, SC, SC
Gordie, 58, GA, GA, GA
George Jn, 22, GA
ELLEN, 21, GA
Jim, 18, GA
Loran, 15, GA
I think the name could also have been spelled Cannon. I cannot find him in GA, FL or SC
in 1900 or 1880.
Ellen said her father was an identical twin and his brother's name was John. They
walked from SC to GA as young men and may have gone through FL on their way.
I am not a Cameron myself. I'm just trying to help this lady. Any suggestions?
Anyone recognize anyone or any place?
