In response to your query on the 'Kemmerer' name,I believe some time
ago
on one of the Cameron Sites a fellow had done a right-up on the
subject.
If memory serves me well, he stated that Kermmerer was German or
Palitine and as it closely resembeled Cameron they "Anglised" the Kermmerer
name. This was quite common with Europeans emigrating to America , they
probably felt it made them fit in the mainstream more readily.
