CAMERON, John W. 80, of Springfield, Ohio passed away February 23,
2010 in Springfield Regional Medical Center.
He was born August 10, 1929 in Talladega, Alabama a son of John W.
and Elizabeth (Clark) Cameron Sr.
Mr. Cameron retired from Navistar International after many years of
dedicated service and served his country in the United States Army
and was honorably discharged.
His memory will be cherished by his loving and devoted wife,
Gwendolyn E. Cameron; sons, Robert and Reginald Cameron; daughters,
Terri (Cedric Sr.) Holt, Cynthia Avery, Susan (Ernest) Johnson and
Corliss (Michael) Massey; brothers, Joe, Henry, George E. and Thomas
L. Cameron and a special brother-in-law, Arthur Gray; sisters, Ada
Parsley, Carrie Jones, Eugenia Smoot, Geneva Cochran and Virginia
McElnach; a number of grandchildren, great grandchildren, other
relatives and friends including a special friend of the family, Mary
McDonald.
He was preceded in death by his parents, a son, John Cameron Jr. and
brothers, Mack and Billy Cameron. Visitation will be Monday from 11
a.m.-1 p.m. in Mt. Zion Baptist Church. Funeral Services will follow
in the church at 1 p.m. Burial will be in Rosehill Burial Park.
