Subject: Re: [CAMERON] Rebecca Cameron
Hello
Obviously I see we have a connection
Charity Delk b. 1814
daughter of Joseph and Hannah Delk
married Joseph Alexander Cameron
s/o John Cameron
b.1794
and Rebekha (probably Shipton)
Joseph and Charity had the following children all born in the 1830 to 1866
timeframe
JESSE
WM
HH
ELIZABETH
MARGARET
JOHN
ELIJAH
I'm still not finding a Rebekha in the line but I find it doubtful none of
the children would use mom or G-mas name especially since Rebecca was such
a
common name.
John Cameron and Rebekha had 8 known children
Thomas ( my line which migrated to Illinois in 1843ish)
James Jr who remained in the area and married Mary Hartman (children unk?)
Absalom named for his G-pa but nothing else found
Rueben lived in area all his life 6 children known
Charity (probably named for Step G-ma Charity Grist/Grice) married Tom
Lofton
Wm Married 2 Elizabeth Morris m1 Eliza Tysinger
Nancy married Wm Grist had several children using Grice name
lastly Gammy Cameron married David Hooks and nothing else known..
Now a disclaimer
This info is not cut in stone
The connections to the core family is pretty solid but some children may
be
assigned to
the wrong families.
Most are solid as proven by census ect but I admit to some assuming.
But I do believe all the Rowan/Davidson and Randolph Cameron's are all
from
a
John Cameron B. 1740
d. 1807 buried in Healing Springs Twp Davidson NC
Digest what I've sent and lets talk further.
