Dean and all Cameron cousins,
Just when we are making headway, I have to be off 2 weeks. Think of
this like a Cameron puzzle, we are all parts NOW, but we have it only
partially put back together.
I have no doubt that some of us are going to connect up when all is
found. I do know that a couple of the
brothers went down South in the USA and stayed. I am going to call my
aunt in
Arkansas today and ask for more details. She does not know where they
went but knows they did fight down there. Also, some of my ancestors
moved from the New Glasgow area to Ontario, (Toronto and Kingston
area) and on to Vancouver. I just found descendents of grandmother
Cameron's aunt Christine!!! Whooppee!!! She married Lt. Col. McLelland
Moore. I was looking near Moncton where James Grant C. Hain but found
these descendents in Vancouver, BC.
All I have time to do at moment is send Jessie Fordyce Sutherland's
obit. re: Cameron/Sutherlands.
I have just found out from a nice Cameron lady near Montreal that I
also connect up there. She says a rellie (Fraser) is in the same
cemetery as someone in her family.
George Frederick Cameron lived with Moore's in Boston and became a
US citizen and later renounced his citizenship (it says "Bookbinder" on
his papers, and went back to Canada,
dying at Kingston while editor of Kingston News. Queens U. has quite a
bit on him in the 'Special Connections' section. Sorry I can't give you
more details at moment, but life rushes on...here is the obit for
ggGranndmother Sutherland.

We are working on Captn. Sutherland's family as we have some
discrepancies to work out..maybe this will give someone a new area to
search. My Cameron's let no moss grow under their feet. Actually
George's brother Rev. Dr. Chas. John Cameron was sent around to pioneer
churches in Canada and the USA, but I found Alec found Charles-Geo's
uncle pastoring St. George Presbyterian church in downtown Sydney?
