Marlene,and List Users,
Well how's your Gaelic.Apparently, according to Alex Fraser, the term Bui
is not an acronym but is in fact a term afixed to a name examples of which
follow.
To quote Alex,"Bui is a Gaelic term similar to 'Ban','Bhan',or
'Bane'
like Angus 'Ban' = Fair Angus or 'Mor','Mhor' like len Mhor = Big
John or
'Du','Dhu"like Duncan Dhu = Dark Duncan.
At present I can't think of the exact meaning of 'Bui' but will check
what files we have we have with us as we are still on Vancouver Is. and away
from most of our files which are back in Glengarry."-unquote.
So at least this is a lead and may be worth an article on the List.
