Dear Rita,
I'm writing to take you up on your kind offer. My Cameron's are from the
Black Isle, specifically from Mulchaich, Ferintosh. They are Alexander
Cameron and his wife Katherine McKenzie.Their children were John b.1800,Mary
b.1801, William b.1803 and another John b.1808. William became a minister,
married Martha Isabella Cameron from Tain whose father was Rev. Alexander
and went to live and work at Loch Broom for the next 50 years. It is from
them that I am descended. They had seven children, my great grandfather
being William born in 1855. If any of this looks familiar to anyone else I
would certainly like to hear from them.
Thanks very much, Rita,
Lorraine Cameron

Subject: [CAMERON] History of the Camerons
I currently have in my possession (through inter-library loan) the
book
"History of the Camerons" by Alexander MacKenzie written in 1884. I
would be willing to do look-ups for anyone who's interested (although
most of you probably have already read this book). I have to return it
to the library May 9, so reply quickly.
