No doubt, many of us have our own special memories of John Allan, the
"godfather" of Celtic music in Canada, his wife Angela and their son Stuart. A
few of my pleasurable times with the my fellow Clansmen were at the Fergus Scottish
Festival and Highland Games where John Allan was Chieftain of the Games. The same year
John Allan was presented with the Order of Canada in 2003 I met with John Allan, Angela
and Stuart at the Games. It was a great time. While at the Games I video taped John Allan,
Angela, Stuart and friends performing on their own and together, thereafter sending a copy
of the recording to the Cameron's. A short time later a large black and white
autographed poster of John Allan performing in Toronto's High Park in early 1970's
arrived at my croft which nicely compliments my John Allan Cameron music collection. In
2005 my daughter Laura, son David and I toured the Canada's east coast for three
weeks. Angela was instrumental in guiding us in the right direction for a memorable
vacation, in particular though picturesque John Allan's native Cape Breton. That is
