Catherine McGlashan Cameron, dtr of Charles Cameron and Jane/Jean
Blair, d. in Lochgilphead in Oct 1856 aged 13 mos.
informant for her death info was a William Cameron, uncle. she is
buried at the "Lochgilphead Church Yard"
Jane/Jean Blair, dtr of Donald Blair & Catherine (McGlashan)
Jane Blair Cameron d. in 1906 from the Argyll Asylum, her death info
showing her parents names and that she was a widow at time of death.
informant's name is difficult to read, Duncan Mac????, he was her
nephew-in-law.
Charles Cameron, per LDS he was born abt 1816, parents were
Dougal(d) Cameron and Jean Sayre/Sayer. cooper by trade. May have
died prior to 1870. If so, then probably buried in Lochgilphead.
Dougald and Jean were married Jan 1806, West Or Old
Parish,Greenock,Renfrew,Scotland and the following was all that was
found on their children;
Scotland Births and Baptisms
Charles b. Apr 9 1815, christ. April 16 1815 Port Glasgow, Renfrew, Scotland
Elizabeth, b. Aug 2 1813, christ. Aug 22 1813 Port Glasgow, Renfrew, Scotland
William b. Oct 18 1826, christ. West or Old Parish, Greenock,
Renfrew, Scotland,
(residence for each entry is shown as same area christening took place)
Charles and Jane were by grgr grandparents, thru their son Gilbert.
I've appeared to have hit a brick wall on tracing this lineage
further back.
Would love to hear from anyone familiar with these lines and to meet
new distant cousins.
