I am trying to get additional facts on Janet Cameron. Here is what I know:
She married William Innes on the 27 June 1814 in Glenlivet, Inveravon,
Banff, Scotland
During their married life they lived at Craighead Farm in Glenlivet,
Inveravon, Banff, Scotland. They had four children Ann ( 1815 ), Margaret
( 1818 ), John ( 1820 ) and William ( 1822 ). William is my direct
descendant.
William, Janet’s husband was Protestant and she was RC.
Janet does appear in the 1841 Census but not in the 1851, so it is assumed
that she died between those dates. Where she is buried is not known.
William, Janet’s husband, died in 1861 confirmed with his death certificate.
There is no indication to show where he is buried.
We have been able to establish that Janet had at least two brothers Charles
Cameron and Robert Cameron
Charles died May 19, 1871 in Westerton, Glenlivet, and was survived by his
spouse Ann Rattray and their children. His death certificate does show that
his parents were John Cameron ( tailor by profession ) and Catherine Stuart.
It is not shown where they lived.
What we know about Robert is that he was the subject of a biography in
“Ecclesiastical Chronicle for Scotland”, Vol 1V, by J F S Gordon and
apparently died in Falkirk and is interred in Calton Cemetery , Edinburgh,
Scotland.
Any additional information would be greatly appreciated.
