However I am still looking for the gold. I jumped on the new LDS web site
and fought the masses to look for Fred Cameron's parents (my Great Great
Grandparents). I found Fred, but no parents.... I did however find that his
wife Josephine White (my Great Grandmother) had an extensive background that
we had not previously known about. She was one of 10 brothers and sisters.
Her parents were Peter Drummond White and Lauretta Dennis Wolcott. Peters
parents were Curtis White and Catherine Parker. That was the end of the
trail for the moment. All the Whites and Wolcotts were from East Brooklyn.
Peter and Lauretta were married in Brooklyn and moved to Robinson N.D.
(probably for free land). I also learned through other sources that Fred
Cameron had two sisters, Addie Cameron (Mrs. Wallace) of Redwood, CA. and
Elvie Cameron (Mrs. Cooper) of St. Paul. I tried to find the sisters on the
LDS site to no avail. Someday I'll find those elusive Cameron's!!!!!
p.s. I found some extensive Cameron's in Nova Scotia buried in Pictou County
Cemeteries.
Good Hunting! Dean Cameron
