Pam,
I don't know anything more about Henrietta. She probably died in Ky.
where the Pottinger Catholics settled c. 1832 (possily in childbirth
with Susan Agnes). John then must have gone back to the
Worcester-Accomack area and remarried Esther/Hester Anna Richardson
in 1833, then went back to Ky.
I think Sarah and Sallie are the same person; Sallie is a nickname for Sarah.
Uncle Matt must be the Mathew Punell listed with Isaac and Sarah
(cameron) richardson and Esther in the 1860 census of Worcester Co.
He was a nephew I think to John (whose sister Sarah "Sallie") mar.
Milby Selby Purnell in 1805.Called "Uncle" because he was older.
I assume Isaac Richardson was Esther's nephew or cousin.
I'll bet Margaret "PollY" was Margaret Mary; Polly was a common
nickname for Mary then. Maragret Mary was a common name among
Catholics (after St. Margaret Mary Alacoque (sp.?), a French nun who
began devotion to the Sacred Heart of Jesus in the 1680's).
Steve
