Monday, 11.07.05, on Canada's CBC's National "Road Stories" there was a
great segment on "The Last Cameron at Cameron Settlement, Nova Scotia - Robert
Cameron 74 years old, 4th generation to live in the Cameron home, with his wife Judy.
http://www.cbc.ca/canadanowns/ < excellent video on this site, scroll down to the
bottom of the window until you come to the "copy / paste" as per below and then
click on the "Why do you live where you live" ....
"Ask Robert Cameron that question and he'll give you a pretty simple answer. He
says it just feels right to live in Cameron Settlement, deep in Guysborough County. Tom
Murphy spent some time with Robert Cameron for an edition of Road Stories, for CBC
TV's The National. (runs 2:59 minutes)"
I wish I had known about this when I toured the Maritimes this summer with my daughter
David and son Laura. Cameron Settlement is located on the map, as per below, not too far
south of Barney's River and James River where we visited, home of the Bard of Tiree,
John MacLean. Of course you know I leave no stone unturned. I was able to track down
Robert and Judy's telephone number. I called, left a detailed message. More later.
Always interested to know more about our Cameron family!
On the web I found an interesting site re: Cameron
