She had two brothers born in TN, William and George,
does this relate or be helpful?
That is tantalizing; but I don't believe this could be the same Susan. You
say she
was born in 1837 then married in 1855. My Susan was with my George Cameron
in the 1850 census of Randolph Co., AR. In their household was Eli, the son of
George's first marriage I mentioned previously, there was Susan and a new son
named Henry Heydon, born in 1850. So your Susan could not be the same as my
Susan. We don't know her maiden name; but we believe it could have been
Cameron. Supposedly George went back to TN to get her before going on to Randolph
Co., AR. No proof of that, however. She didn't really know her age either
and she could not read or write......as the case with many at that time.
Maybe a
cousin ? They had 2 more children. William born in 1861 and Sarah E. born in
1863. Both in Randolph County.
Susan was listed as head of household in the 1900 census in Madison Co. AR.
(a very long ways from Randolph Co.) Listed in her household was son William
and
William's Wife, Tennessee. Her farm was not far from the farm of her son,
Henry and his family.
(Henry is my Great Great Grandfather)
Your Susan could possibly be a sister to my George. He did name a son,
William.
(but that was/is a common name).
Any ideas? Are there any male descendants from any of your Susan's male
siblings?
